What’s the most annoying thing on the internet right now?

For me, it’s AI-generated images and fake content. Not because I’m anti-technology (I’m actually a huge fan of innovation), but because there’s no connection. No heartbeat. No nuance. No story that makes me feel something.

I scroll, I see, I swipe past. Because I can’t connect with it, not in the way I do when there’s a real human on the other end.

And here’s the irony: I’m no trained writer, but I write all my own stuff. Why? Because I like thinking about the story not just the facts, but the context, the emotions, the little sparks of insight that could start a bigger conversation. That’s the space I love to play in.

I’ve always had a curious mind. I love hearing people’s stories, the why behind their decisions, the challenges they’ve faced, the clever ways they’ve overcome them. I think that’s why I spent over 20 years in sales. It wasn’t just about the product. It was about meeting customers, learning about their businesses, understanding their priorities, and helping them craft strategies that aligned with their values.

It was a very Whole Brain Thinking experience, analytical thinking to understand the problem, strategic thinking to design the solution, emotional thinking to connect with people’s values, and practical thinking to make it happen.

Even now, in my work with NewThink, it’s the human connections that matter most. The conversations in workshops when a leader has that lightbulb moment. The moment a team realises they’ve been talking at each other, not with each other. The way a single shift in perspective can unlock better collaboration, better performance, and better results.

We live in a world where AI can generate words, images, and even voices. But it can’t replace the feeling of sitting across from someone, asking the right question, and watching their thinking unfold in real time.

That’s the part I’ll never outsource. That’s the part that makes me get up every day and keep doing this work.

Because my mission isn’t just to share information, it’s to create clarity, spark curiosity, and build connections that AI could never replicate.
